The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guido tries to clinch there but Marksman circles away.
Marksman fails to land the takedown.
Marksman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guido sprawls well initially but Marksman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marksman trying to mount his opponent but Guido defends it.
Guido is looking to get back to full guard here but Marksman has managed to pass to side control instead.
Guido manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Marksman wants to work for an arm triangle but Guido is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Marksman is looking to advance position but Guido won't allow it.

Guido throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Marksman wants to pass the guard but Guido is keeping the position.
Guido wants to stand up but Marksman is controlling him.
Marksman is pushing down on Guido's leg trying to pass to half guard. Guido is fighting to maintain full guard but Marksman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Guido wants to improve his position but Marksman is controlling well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Marksman works his foot free and advances to mount.
Marksman quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Marksman but it's paid off an Guido is forced to tap! Nice work by Marksman.
