Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Knaivho Krronov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krronov has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Knaivho Krronov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jack Houston! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Houston lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Krronov attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Houston shoots in and bounces Krronov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Krronov is breathing heavily. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Houston not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Houston stands and throws Krronov's legs to the side, diving into side control. Houston looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Houston is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Krronov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Krronov can't do much from the bottom here. Houston is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Krronov has escaped the position, nice work there. A lull in the action here as Houston stalls from top position. Houston tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krronov seems a little lost for a moment, as Houston dominates the positioning. Krronov is trying to control Houston's posture but Houston avoids it. Houston controls the position from side control. Houston works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Houston is working Krronov over with some ground and pound from side control. Houston controlling the position. Houston decides to stand back up. Houston closes the distance and pushes Krronov back into the cage. Houston gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Krronov regains guard.
Krronov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Houston defends well. Houston advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Houston just content to control the position. Houston working away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Houston connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Krronov some visible discomfort.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Houston is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Krronov has escaped the position, nice work there. Houston in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Houston dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Houston looking to score a takedown here. Krronov is defending well but Houston drives through and ends up in Krronov's guard. Houston engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Houston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krronov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Krronov is trying to hold Houston in close to prevent damage but Houston has managed to pass into half guard.
Houston looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Krronov is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Houston is nestled in close to Krronov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Houston sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Houston lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Houston is looking to advance position but Krronov won't allow it. Houston passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Krronov!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Krronov wants to control but Houston is having none of it. Houston is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Krronov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Krronov shrugs it off. Krronov is bucking up trying to escape but Houston cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Krronov tries to hold on but Houston postures up. Houston landing punches. Houston lands a big elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Houston putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Houston controlling his opponent. Krronov takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Houston controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Houston avoids the attempt from Krronov to control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Houston looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Houston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Houston fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Krronov, pushing him back against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Houston. Krronov throws a knee to the head but misses.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Houston as Krronov tries to tie him up. Houston wants to break the clinch but can't.
Houston lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Houston controlling the action here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Krronov looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Houston pushes past his half guard into mount! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Houston is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Krronov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Houston tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jack Houston has got the better of the ground game so far. Krronov tries to hold on but Houston pushes him away. Krronov defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Houston. Houston controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Houston lands with some strikes. Houston has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Krronov's face.
Houston controlling from the full mount. Houston working away from the top, dropping strikes. Houston has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Houston stands up from mount. Strange move. Krronov wants to clinch. Houston gets a double leg takedown into Krronov's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Houston stands up from Krronov's guard - Houston perhaps looking for a knockout. Houston is looking to score with low kicks. Houston rushes Krronov and presses him up against the cage. Krronov with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Houston turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Houston manages to end up in side control. Houston in side control, just content to control the action for now. Houston looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Krronov wants to control but Houston postures up. Houston scores with a couple of short elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Krronov wants to control but Houston postures up. Houston wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Krronov, who protects the arm well. Knaivho Krronov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jack Houston is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on Krronov's face as Houston controls the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Houston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Houston has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
