Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Studebaker Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monroe Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawk comes into the arena with silver hawk blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Studebaker Hawk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Monroe Jackson! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawk gets the takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hawk is trying to get an arm triangle but Jackson is defending well. Hawk tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Jackson is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Jackson regains half guard. Hawk wants to work for an arm triangle but Jackson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Jackson is pressing down on Hawk's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jackson wants to sweep but no luck. Jackson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing Hawk from controlling successfully. Jackson is trying to keep Hawk in close.
Jackson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hawk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hawk has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hawk's guard. Hawk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Hawk's closed guard. He's half up but Hawk has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Hawk pivots and extends the arm, Jackson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Hawk! Well done that man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Studebaker Hawk! After winning the bout, Studebaker Hawk thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
