With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ming Young!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Oak doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Young counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Oak has his takedown stuffed
and Young counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Young fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Oak sprawls well initially but Young persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oak is trying to stand back up but Young is controlling him
Oak wants to control but Young is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Oak tries to kick Young off but Young keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Young working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Young seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Young scores with a big shot! Oak's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Oak! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
