The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross wants to clinch up but Cekada keeps it at a distance.
Rick Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ross tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cekada swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cekada swats away the attempt to clinch by Ross.
Cekada shoots for a takedown but Ross saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Ross throws a leg kick which misses Cekada's front leg but catches the back leg as Cekada tries to avoid it.

Cekada looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Ross paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Ross walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Ross stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ross wants it to stay on the feet.

Cekada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ross tries to avoid it but Cekada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ross to the ground. Ross escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Cekada throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ross lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Cekada gets control of Ross's arms and successfully pulls guard. Cekada will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Cekada is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ross can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Cekada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cekada cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ross takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
