Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bastian Nokia!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mitchell tries to sprawl but Nokia drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Mitchell works his way to full guard. Good work.
Nokia wants to control from the top but Mitchell keeps moving.
Mitchell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Nokia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mitchell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mitchell seems keen to control Nokia's posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Billy Mitchell wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Mitchell advances to mount.
Nokia is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nokia is in a horrible position here. Mitchell smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Mitchell scores with a couple of good head shots there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nokia wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Mitchell looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mitchell seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nokia for as long as he can get away with.

Nokia dives in and scores a takedown into Mitchell's guard.

Nokia got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mitchell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nokia has managed to get both his arms back between Mitchell's legs - danger averted.
Mitchell is adopting a defensive guard.
Nokia must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mitchell is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Mitchell isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Nokia stacks Mitchell on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Nokia!
Billy Mitchell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mitchell manages to work his way to half guard, despite Nokia's best efforts.

Mitchell is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nokia pulls his head out easily.
Mitchell is pressing down on Nokia's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Mitchell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Mitchell seems to be working for a kimura but Nokia defends the submission attempt.
Nokia is staying active underneath Mitchell, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Mitchell throwing shots but Nokia is blocking nicely.
Nokia keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Mitchell is taking a breather. Nokia says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Mitchell wants to free his trapped foot but Nokia is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Mitchell seems to be looking for submissions.

Mitchell is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mitchell passes the guard and advances to mount!

Mitchell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nokia's guard.

Mitchell stops Nokia from standing up.
Mitchell forces his way into half guard.
Mitchell looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Mitchell is trying to work for a kimura but Nokia is defending well.

Mitchell is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nokia sees it coming and defends easily.
Mitchell slows the pace down in half guard.
Mitchell throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Mitchell stalling.
Mitchell throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mitchell trying to control the pace.
Mitchell thows a huge punch but Nokia dodges it nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Billy Mitchell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mitchell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
