Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Bolda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Nye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bolda comes into the arena with Fett's Vette blaring out of the sound system. Josh Bolda has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nye tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bolda paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bolda missing with a left hand there. Nye was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bolda shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Nye looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bolda with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bolda shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nye eats them both and turns towards Bolda to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Bolda sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nye's guard.

Bolda is taking a breather. Nye says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Nye wants to get back to his feet.
Bolda content to control rather than advance.

Nye is staying active underneath Bolda, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
