Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shigeo Miyato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Sobotta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Shigeo Miyato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Sobotta!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sobotta has closed the distance and engaged Miyato in a clinch.
Sobotta is trying to force a seperation but Miyato has the dominant position.
A short uppercut from Sobotta.

Sobotta's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Miyato shoots in for a takedown but Sobotta shows good takedown defense.

Sobotta closes the distance and pushes Miyato back into the cage.

Sobotta breaks from the clinch.
Miyato tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sobotta sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Miyato somewhat.

Miyato wants to pass the guard but Sobotta is keeping the position.

Sobotta is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Miyato is aware though and is defending well.

Miyato drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Miyato jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Miyato tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Miyato has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Miyato is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sobotta to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sobotta shrugs it off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Shigeo Miyato will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Miyato shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sobotta as he avoids it easily.

Miyato fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Sobotta to the ground. Miyato is now in Sobotta's guard.

Miyato thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Sobotta sneaks out the side door and pushes Miyato away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Miyato.
Miyato has a takedown stuffed.
