Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bloody Water!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Rand!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Water with a poor takedown

and Rand counters with a takedown into side control.
Water tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Water manages to get back to half guard.

Rand stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Water to get to his feet.

Rand shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Water manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Water looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Water has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Rand has passed into side control.
Water tries to improve position but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rand working away.
Rand in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Rand decides to stand back up.

Rand throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Water tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rand is in Water's guard.
Rand stopping the sweep attempt from Water.
Rand postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Rand is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Water is looking for a triangle here but Rand uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rand slows the pace down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Water gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Rand lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Water is trying desperately to improve position.
Rand controlling the position easily from mount.
Water is trying to escape the mount.
Rand looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Water covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Rand!
