The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis misses with a straight right.

King closes the distance and pushes Davis back into the cage.

Davis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
King throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice shot by Davis.

It looks like Ryan King has been cut.
No joy there for King, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Davis looks to land a right hand but King moved out of range.
The fighters circling - Davis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
King fails in his attempt to clinch.
King throws a nice looking combination but Davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
King looks to land a combination. Davis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Henry Davis has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A big left from Davis misses.
King misses with a series of wild punches.
Davis slips a jab and a cross from King.

Davis clinches up against the cage.
King jumps guard but Davis turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
King has Davis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Davis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Davis breaks the clinch.
Davis circles away from the clinch attempt

and Davis counters with a crisp one two that drops King! Davis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves King to his feet! King is in big trouble!

King drives through and clinches with Davis against the cage.
King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Davis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

King looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King is breathing heavily.

Davis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Davis fails to land with a series of punches.
King lands a jab-cross combination.
Davis throws a hook to the side of King's head but King sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Davis dodges the punch combination from King.
King throws a series of punches but Davis moves out of range.
King looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.
Davis throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck King on the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davis connects with a right that clearly hurt King. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Davis proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till King collapses and taps out under the pressure!
