Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hiroshi Hase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Lunn!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lunn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hase swivels and escapes.
Hase throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Lunn counters with a nice double leg into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lunn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lunn prevents Hase from getting back to his feet.
Lunn is looking to work some ground and pound but Hase has wrist control.
Hase controls Lunn momentarily but Lunn frees himself.

Lunn drops back looking for a leg! Hase is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hase manages to kick Lunn off! Lunn jumps back into Hase's guard.

Lunn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Hase keeping full guard, as Lunn tries to pass.
Hase on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hase tries to get out of the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lunn won't allow Hase to get back to his feet.

Lunn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lunn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lunn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hase utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lunn throwing strikes but missing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lunn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lunn is working Hase over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Lunn drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Lunn seems to have locked his on tight now - Hase screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Lunn, as he picks up the win!
