Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Grover Dod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grover Dod! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyler Durden! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durden doesn't manage to clinch there - Dod circles away.
Durden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dod tries to avoid it but Durden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dod to the ground. Dod escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dod misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Durden avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dod slips under a jab from Durden. Durden fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Durden wants to clinch and Dod counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dod. Dod tries a knee to the head but Durden blocks it.
Durden is trying to pull guard but Dod turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Grover Dod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Durden. Durden tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Dod's elbow. Dod tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Durden misses with some punches.
Durden jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dod walks away with a smile on his face. Durden gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Dod tries to keep at a distance but Durden has taken the fight into the clinch. Durden tries to pull guard but Dod holds him up against the cage and eventually Durden drops back down to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Dod could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dod tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Durden jumps guard but Dod turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Durden wants a takedown.
Dod throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Durden blocks it with crossed arms. Durden is looking to take this one to the mat. Dod tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Durden goes for a takedown attempt but Dod pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Dod tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Durden manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Durden slaps away a takedown attempt from Dod, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dod thows a body shot but no joy. Dod fails with a takedown attempt. Durden misses with a takedown attempt - Dod sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Durden tries to clinch but Dod moves away and Dod counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Durden is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Durden has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dod avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Dod tries a knee to the head but Durden blocks it.
Dod is breathing heavily. Durden misses with the head strike.
Dod with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Durden changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dod fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Durden will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Durden shoots in looking for a takedown but Dod manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Durden's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Durden slaps away a takedown attempt from Dod, before circling back to the center of the mat. Durden keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dod fails with a takedown attempt. Durden is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dod sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Dod gets tackled into the cage by Durden. Durden maintains the clinch. Dod with an attempt at a knee that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Durden controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Let's hope that Durden has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Durden accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Durden not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tyler Durden. Durden drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dod is pushing Durden's head away, looking to escape. Durden manages to hold on to the position though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The ground and pound from Durden seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Durden dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Durden throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dod tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Durden is in Dod's guard. Durden throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dod works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durden trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Durden is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Durden works a leg free and moves into half guard. Well, if Durden is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tyler Durden was stalling too much, according to the referee. Durden clinches with his opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dod shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Durden tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dod shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Durden sprawls well. Durden wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Dod gets slowly back to his feet. Durden fails with an attempt to clinch.

Durden gets the takedown into side control. Durden takes a little break here. Dod wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tyler Durden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Durden tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dod sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Durden somewhat. Durden tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dod counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Durden misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Durden closes the distance and clinches up with Dod, looking for a takedown. Durden pushes Dod against the cage but Dod circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Grover Dod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Durden. Dod shoots in looking for a takedown. Durden tries to sprawl out of it but Dod keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Durden manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Durden closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dod circles away. Horrible takedown by Dod or perhaps it was just good defense by Durden which made him look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durden shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Durden takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Durden is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Durden trying to control the position from guard on top but Dod is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Durden slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tyler Durden has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Durden slaps away a takedown attempt from Dod, before circling back to the center of the mat. Durden looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dod! Durden controlling the position easily from mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Durden controlling from the full mount. Durden unloads with some shots from mount but Dod bucks and avoids them well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Durden scoring with strikes but Dod is staying in there. Durden putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Durden looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Durden breaks from Dod's wrist control and lands an elbow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Durden controlling his opponent. Grover Dod has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Tyler Durden is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Tyler Durden comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Durden has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
