The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from ZKlanu.
ZKlanu scores with a body shot.
ZKlanu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alves as he avoids it easily.
ZKlanu closes the distance and clinches.
ZKlanu drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Alves gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Alves pulls ZKlanu into guard.
Alves on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alves tries to get out of the position.

ZKlanu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Alves avoids it really well and circles away.

Alves is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt ZKlanu will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
ZKlanu scores with a jab to the jaw.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from ZKlanu is defended easily by Alves.
Alves feints and as ZKlanu raises his hands in defense, Alves changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

ZKlanu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Alves drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alves jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
ZKlanu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Alves was well out of range. Poor timing from ZKlanu.
Alves dives in and grabs ZKlanu's left leg, looking for a takedown. ZKlanu pushes down on Alves's head and hops out.
ZKlanu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alves pinned against the cage. Alves gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
ZKlanu tries to close the distance and clinch but Alves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nick Alves has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maciek ZKlanu.
ZKlanu misses with a two punch combination.
ZKlanu takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

ZKlanu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alves sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten ZKlanu somewhat.
Maciek ZKlanu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
