The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Springer throws a combination. Saul tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Saul shoots in looking for a takedown. Springer tries to sprawl out of it but Saul keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Springer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Saul gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Saul gets underhooks to prevent Springer's takedown attempt.
Springer jumps guard and drags Saul to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Springer tries to kick Saul off but Saul keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
