Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ze Dedal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Rio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ze Dedal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Rio! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rio shoots and misses and Dedal counters with a single leg into guard. Rio didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dedal trying to control but Rio is working from the bottom. Dedal sitting in guard, not really doing much. Dedal with a flurry of punches that miss. Rio being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ze Dedal. Dedal swats away the attempt to clinch by Rio. Rio fails with the takedown. Rio shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dedal defends it nicely. Ze Dedal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Rio. Dedal lands a nice looking body shot.
Dedal closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dedal gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Dedal postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rio is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dedal, into his guard. Dedal doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Dedal is pulling down on Rio's head. It's preventing any offense from Rio, at least for the moment. Dedal looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rio passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Dedal preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Dedal trying to hold on to Rio's head to control him but Rio postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ze Dedal has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Rio tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dedal sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rio somewhat. A looping hook to the body misses from Rio. Dedal does a little dance to reset his feet. Rio shoots and misses and Dedal counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Rio! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dedal with a couple of short strikes. Dedal content just to control the position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ze Dedal dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Dedal misses with a low kick. Rio misses with a takedown attempt and Dedal counters with a nice double leg into guard. Dedal pushes down on Rio's leg and manages to get into half guard. Dedal wants to get back to his feet.
Dedal knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rio on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dedal trying to control the action but Rio is working from the bottom. Ze Dedal overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dedal connects with a nice short shot to Rio's temple. Dedal content to control rather than advance. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Dedal working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rio wants to improve his position but Dedal is controlling well.
Dedal perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dedal looking to sit in guard and control but Rio gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rio prevents Dedal from getting back to his feet. Dedal controls Rio momentarily but Rio frees himself. Dedal on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dedal tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ze Dedal wasn't doing enough on the ground. Dedal gets a takedown into half guard. Dedal is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dedal not doing much here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ze Dedal dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Rio misses with a takedown and Dedal counters with a single leg into guard. Rio didn't expect that. Dedalis looking to pass into half guard but Rio pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Rio is in guard. Rio prevents Dedal from getting back to his feet. Dedal manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's one minute gone in the round. Dedal raining down shots from the mount! Dedal lands a heavy elbow. Dedal controlling his opponent. Dedal is landing with some decent strikes but Rio is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dedal controlling the position easily from mount. Dedal breaks from Rio's wrist control and lands an elbow. Dedal working the ground and pound effectively.
Dedal lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dedal controlling from mount. Dedal lands a big shot there that rocks Rio but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Dedal lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Dave Rio has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dedal is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rio is surviving well by controlling Dedal's body position as best he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rio takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Dedal breaks from Rio's wrist control and lands an elbow. Dedal sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Ze Dedal showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dedal has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
