Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whyte tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Rogers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Rogers dives in and grabs Whyte's left leg, looking for a takedown. Whyte pushes down on Rogers's head and hops out.
Frank Whyte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Rogers or perhaps it was just good defense by Whyte which made him look bad.
Nice cross by Rogers.
It looks like Frank Whyte has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Whyte tries to clinch up but Rogers circles away and keeps his distance.
Whyte fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rogers scores with the left hand. Whyte knows he should have avoided that one.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rogers.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rogers has a takedown stuffed.
Whyte tries a head kick but it misses.

Rogers dips to his left and cracks Whyte with an uppercut!
Rogers lands a body shot.
Whyte looks winded!
Rogers is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Whyte flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Whyte is out cold! Rogers holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jason Rogers!
In his post fight interview, Jason Rogers started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
