Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ikuhisa Oyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ikuhisa Oyama has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Hall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ikuhisa Oyama! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oyama tries to keep at a distance but Hall has taken the fight into the clinch. Hall breaks the clinch.
Hall throws a series of punches but Oyama moves out of range. Hall keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hall. Oyama dodges the punch combination from Hall.
Hall lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Oyama fails to land with a series of punches.
Oyama looks to land a combination. Hall sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Hall looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hall is pressing down on Oyama's thigh, looking to free his foot. Oyama is holding on for now. Oyama is trying to stand back up but Hall is controlling him
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hall wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall is thwarting Oyama's attempts to control the position. Oyama might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hall kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hall is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hall slips a nice elbow through Oyama's hands, connecting with Oyama's forehead. Hall wants to stand but Oyama has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Oyama drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oyama wants to control for a moment but Hall uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Hall wants to stand but Oyama has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Oyama manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hall drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hall jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hall is breathing heavily. Hall stopping the sweep attempt from Oyama. Oyama throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Oyama looking for a guillotine here but Hall defends easily.
Hall stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oyama has his takedown stuffed and Hall counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hall stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Oyama with a lazy takedown attempt letting Hall counter with a right hand. Jesse Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ikuhisa Oyama. Oyama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Oyama looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Oyama passes to full mount! Oyama looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Oyama looking to control but Hall is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Oyama working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oyama tries to control but Hall wriggling away. Hall tries to reverse the position but Oyama maintains control. Oyama jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hall manages to avoid the submission attempt. Oyama working away. Oyama advances nicely into full mount. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hall squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Oyama looking for a guillotine from mount but Hall is having none of it. Oyama pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jesse Hall will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Oyama misses with a takedown attempt - Hall sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Oyama drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oyama is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hall is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hall gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Oyama moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hall has worked his arm free - good work by Hall!
Oyama goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hall rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Oyama's guard! Nice work there by Hall! Hall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Oyama's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hall works his way into side control. Hall decides to stand back up. Hall steps back and let's Oyama get back to his feet. Oyama shoots in looking for a takedown. Hall tries to sprawl out of it but Oyama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Hall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Hall closes the distance and clinches. Hall with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Hall manages to break the clinch.
Oyama shoots in looking for a takedown. Hall tries to sprawl out of it but Oyama keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Hall manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jesse Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ikuhisa Oyama. No joy there for Hall, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oyama looks for a takedown but Hall sprawls well. Oyama shoots in for a double leg but Hall sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Oyama shoots in but no luck this time. Hall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Oyama's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Oyama holds on and takes a little breather. Hall trying to control but Oyama is working from the bottom. Hall works over Oyama with some ground and pound from guard. Hall wants to control from the top but Oyama keeps moving. Oyama looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hall is one step ahead there. Hall wants to get up but he can't break Oyama's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oyama is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hall lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Hall shoots and misses and Oyama counters with a nice uppercut. Hall throws a right and a left that Oyama avoids nicely. Hall shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Oyama counters with a shoot takedown. Hall fights it but they end up in guard. Oyama thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hall pushes Oyama off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Hall looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Oyama will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hall lands a big head kick that sends Oyama to the canvas! Hall follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
