Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and peter Tremain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Alexander Young has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, peter Tremain!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Young stuffs the takedown.
Tremain fails with the takedown.
Tremain throws a sloppy head kick
and Young counters with a nice uppercut.
Young shoots and misses
and Young takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Young shoots in but no luck this time.
Young closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tremain circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Young. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tremain tries to sprawl but Young drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Tremain has one foot on Young's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Tremain shoots for a double leg takedown but Young sprawls well. He's pushed Tremain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Tremain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Young looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Young wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Tremain takes a little break here. Young wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Tremain decides to stand back up. Tremain steps back and let's Young get back to his feet.
Sloppy strikes from Young. Those never looked like landing.
Young tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tremain swivels and escapes.

Tremain closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tremain lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young keeping moving, preventing Tremain from controlling successfully.

Tremain missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Young can't keep his opponent in guard - Tremain advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Tremain is looking for a kimura but Young is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tremain to get the leverage.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Tremain lands a nice short elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Young wants to get back to his feet.

Tremain is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Tremain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Young keeps working.
Tremain slows the pace down in half guard.

Tremain gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
Tremain tries to clinch up.

Tremain closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Young bucks up and tries to throw Tremain off but instead Tremain has got his back!

Young tries for a takedown but Tremain sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Young shoots for a double leg takedown but Tremain sprawls well. He's pushed Young's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Young looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Young closes the distance and clinches up with Tremain, looking for a takedown. Young pushes Tremain against the cage but Tremain circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tremain throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Young tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tremain is in Young's guard.

Tremain postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Young is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tremain, into his guard.

Young makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Young postures up.

Young drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tremain looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tremain looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tremain!

Young gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Tremain looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Tremain can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Young is looking to escape.
Young trying desperately to get to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but peter Tremain will probably get the nod - 10:9.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Young gets tackled into the cage by Tremain. Tremain maintains the clinch.

Tremain is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Tremain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Young looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tremain is fending him off so far but Young persists. Nope, Tremain circles away and we're back to standing.

Tremain stands and steps away. Young gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Young looks to land a combination but Tremain avoids it well.
Young shoots in for a takedown but Tremain shows good takedown defense.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tremain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Young paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tremain goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Tremain misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tremain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Tremain changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Young looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tremain controls the position from side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tremain throwing strikes but Young manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Young wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tremain, who protects the arm well.
Tremain sneaks back into half guard.
Tremain wants to control but Young is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tremain gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Young has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tremain is proving hard to escape from.
Tremain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tremain is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Young is controlling him.

Young drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tremain looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tremain looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tremain!

Tremain wants to control but Young is keeping him busy.
Young wants to get back to his feet but Tremain drags him back down.
Alexander Young has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
