Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Dudek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dudek comes to the cage accompanied by ASTRAL PROJECTION - Mahadeva . Sanchez has chosen Montage as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Juan Sanchez has the eye of the tiger tonight.

29 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez checks a leg kick nicely. Sanchez misses with a takedown and Dudek cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Sanchez throws a head kick that misses and Dudek counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Sanchez scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sanchez wants to work for an arm triangle but Dudek is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

and Dudek counters with a stiff right hand. Sanchez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dudek looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Juan Sanchez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sanchez moves out of range as Dudek strikes. A leg kick checked by Sanchez. Sanchez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dudek fails in his attempt to clinch. Dudek connects with a jab. Dudek tries to clinch up but Sanchez circles away and keeps his distance. A chopping leg kick lands by Sanchez. Dudek blocks a head kick by Sanchez.
This has been an exciting period of action! Dudek blocks a head kick by Sanchez.
Dudek tries to land a front kick but Sanchez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Dudek walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Sanchez shoots in and bounces Dudek off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez is pushing down on Dudek's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dudek is fighting to maintain full guard but Sanchez has managed to sneak the leg through. Sanchez is trying to work for a kimura but Dudek is defending well.

Sanchez wants to control but Dudek is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dudek is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanchez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanchez's back! Sanchez turns into Dudek and is now in his guard.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Sanchez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dudek is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Dudek keeps moving. Sanchez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanchez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sanchez controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez tries to free his leg and advance position but Dudek is retaining full guard. Juan Sanchez has got the better of the ground game so far. Dudek controlling the position. Dudek controls Sanchez momentarily but Sanchez frees himself. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Dudek being controlled here, momentarily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jan Dudek just wasn't active enough. Sanchez rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dudek counters with a straight right hand. Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dudek sprawls well. Dudek wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet. Sanchez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Sanchez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Sanchez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. An inside leg kick lands from Sanchez. Sanchez bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Juan Sanchez seems to be getting the better of the standup. Sanchez moves out of range of the body kick. Dudek walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Sanchez throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Dudek. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sanchez misses with a head kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dudek's waist but Dudek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sanchez off to one side. Dudek misses with a straight left. Dudek avoids the head kick by Sanchez.
Dudek goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Sanchez avoids the body shot from Dudek.

Sanchez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sanchez moves out of range of the body kick. Sanchez is looking to slow Dudek down with leg kicks. Dudek tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Dudek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sanchez throws a head kick that misses. Sanchez gets tackled into the cage by Dudek. Dudek maintains the clinch. Jan Dudek has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Dudek is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Sanchez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dudek. Sanchez throws a lazy head kick and Dudek makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Sanchez really felt that one! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dudek looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez is just out of range. Dudek moves out of range as Sanchez throws a body kick.

Juan Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sanchez takes a shot right to the bread basket. Dudek blocks the body kick.

It looks like Juan Sanchez has been cut. Dudek stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dudek wants it to stay on the feet. Jan Dudek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Sanchez. Sanchez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dudek defends it nicely. A head kick by Sanchez misses letting Dudek counter with a right hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dudek tests Sanchez's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sanchez tries for a takedown but Dudek sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Juan Sanchez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dudek is looking to clinch. Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dudek pinned against the cage. Dudek gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dudek lands a nice looking body kick. Dudek looks for the body kick but Sanchez saw that one coming. A slow jab from Dudek misses its intended target. Sanchez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dudek looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Dudek moves away from the strike by Sanchez. Dudek just misses with a punch to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jan Dudek. I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
