Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Perlito Calzada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wanderlei Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Silva's choice of entrance music: Sandstorm. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Calzada.
Calzada checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Calzada swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Calzada stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Wanderlei Silva has been cut.
Silva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Calzada throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Silva on the side of the head.
Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
A chopping leg kick lands by Silva.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva throws a nice looking combination but Calzada bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Calzada is looking to slow Silva down with leg kicks.
Wanderlei Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva is looking to land body kicks.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Calzada lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Calzada getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Silva is rocked!
Silva throws a left and a right that both miss
and Calzada counters with an outside leg kick.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick
and Calzada counters with a big right hand! Oh Silva is in trouble here! Calzada follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

A less than humble Perlito Calzada misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
