Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grant Blackman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Jee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jee has chosen Get The Funk Out Of My Face as his entrance music. Karl Jee has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Grant Blackman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Grant Blackman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karl Jee!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackman misses with a jab, cross combination.
Blackman is looking to clinch.

Jee gets caught flat footed, as Blackman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Blackman is looking to stand up but Jee won't let him.
Blackman seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blackman wants to pass the guard but Jee is keeping the position.
Jee controlling Blackman's posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blackman trying to control but Jee is working from the bottom.
Blackman has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jee is proving hard to escape from.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jee looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blackman is one step ahead there.
Blackman stays in close to Jee's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grant Blackman dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Blackman avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jee tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blackman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blackman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jee slips a jab and a cross from Blackman.
Blackman misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Grant Blackman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jee has Blackman up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jee tries to break the clinch but Blackman is controlling the position.

Jee breaks the clinch.
Blackman misses with a straight left.
Blackman blocks a head kick by Jee.
Jee is breathing heavily.
Blackman fails to land the takedown.
Jee is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Blackman doesn't manage to clinch there - Jee circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Blackman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jee.
Horrible takedown by Blackman or perhaps it was just good defense by Jee which made him look bad.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The fighters circle momentarily. Blackman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Karl Jee will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


No luck for Blackman with that takedown attempt.
Jee wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jee pivots, looking for a leg kick but Blackman is out of range and Jee settles back down.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice takedown defense from Jee. No joy for Blackman on that attempt.
Jee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blackman paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blackman has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Grant Blackman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Blackman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jee stuffs the takedown attempt from Blackman. Blackman gets slowly back to his feet.

Jee instigates a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Jee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blackman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jee as he avoids it easily.
Blackman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jee's waist but Jee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blackman off to one side.
Blackman looks to clinch
and Jee counters with a head kick that wobbles Blackman - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Jee sends him down. This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karl Jee!
