Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nick Alves!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nick Alves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alves is defended easily by Smith.
Alves takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Alves takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Smith leaves Alves with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
John Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Alves.
Smith bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Alves walks into a straight right hand from Smith.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Smith scores with a crisp jab that stopped Alves in his tracks.
Smith leaves Alves with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Alves is trying desperately to land a takedown but Smith is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Alves.
Alves shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith lands with a nice body punch.

John Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Alves has his takedown stuffed
and Smith counters with a crisp one two that drops Alves! Smith thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Alves to his feet! Alves is in big trouble!
Alves is rocked!

Crack! Smith connects with the perfect overhand right and Alves falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Smith!
