Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khulet Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Oliveria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricardo Oliveria told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Khulet Malapitan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricardo Oliveria! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveria throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Malapitan counter with a right hand. Oliveria has managed to clinch.
Malapitan tries to break free but Oliveria pushes him back against the ropes. Oliveria is trying to break the clinch but Malapitan is controlling him. Oliveria is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Malapitan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. A frustrated look appears on Malapitan's face as he tries to break the clinch. Oliveria tightens his grip and picks Malapitan up, before dumping him to the ground. Malapitan manages to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Malapitan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Oliveria is controlling him. Oliveria slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Oliveria pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Malapitan is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oliveria wants to stand but Malapitan is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ricardo Oliveria wasn't active enough on the ground. Oliveria misses with a looping right. Ricardo Oliveria seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Malapitan tries to keep at a distance but Oliveria has taken the fight into the clinch. Oliveria prevents Malapitan from breaking the clinch. Oliveria prevents Malapitan from breaking the clinch. Malapitan is trying to break free. Oliveria has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Malapitan uses from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Malapitan stands and steps away. Oliveria gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Nice defenses there by Malapitan. Malapitan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Oliveria eats them both and turns towards Malapitan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Oliveria thows a body shot but no joy. Malapitan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Malapitan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Oliveria misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Malapitan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Malapitan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Oliveria. Malapitan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Oliveria sees it coming and avoids it easily. Oliveria checks a leg kick. Oliveria uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Malapitan. Oliveria is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Malapitan throws a big shot that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliveria looks to land a left hand but Malapitan moved out of range nicely. Oliveria clobbers Malapitan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Malapitan throws a chopping leg kick but Oliveria manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Malapitan lands a jab. Malapitan ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Oliveria fails with an attempt to clinch.
Oliveria connects with a crisp jab. Malapitan tests Oliveria's chin there with a solid looking shot. Malapitan throws a low kick but Oliveria avoids it. Jab from Oliveria. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Oliveria misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Oliveria is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Oliveria tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Malapitan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Oliveria takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Oliveria lands a body shot.
Malapitan moves forwards but Oliveria connects with a nice, crisp jab. Malapitan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Oliveria throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Malapitan crashing down! Malapitan tries to stagger back to his feet but Oliveria just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Malapitan asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricardo Oliveria! Ricardo Oliveria thanked the fans post fight for their support.
