Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Macconi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benji Tczho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tczho has chosen Scottish bagpipes as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Macconi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tczho throws a sloppy head kick and Macconi moves out of range easily.
Tczho wants to clinch.

Macconi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tczho tries to avoid it but Macconi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tczho to the ground. Tczho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Macconi perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Macconi wants to take the fight to the mat but Tczho manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Macconi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tczho gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Tczho ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tczho no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
