Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anton Pashurinko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Alkofer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alkofer has chosen Jump Jump - Busta Rhymes as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anton Pashurinko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Alkofer! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alkofer fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pashurinko feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alkofers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Alkofer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Pashurinko is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alkofer's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alkofer's back! Pashurinko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pashurinko lands a shot to the body. Alkofer rolls, trying to escape but Pashurinko keeps control of the position.
Alkofer defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Pashurinko's arms. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pashurinko scores with punches and elbows. Oooh a big shot gets through from Pashurinko. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!

That's one minute gone in the round. Pashurinko is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Pashurinko doesn't have the hooks in and Alkofer manages to turn into his guard.
Pashurinko has a closed guard, preventing Alkofer from standing up. Pashurinko has his foot on Alkofer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alkofer works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Alkofer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Alkofer is looking to stand up but Pashurinko won't let him. Pashurinko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pashurinko wants to sweep here but Alkofer controlling him for the moment. Alkofer is looking to work some ground and pound but Pashurinko has wrist control. Pashurinko trying to control the position.
Alkofer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pashurinko swivels though and keeps the full guard. Alkofer gets to his feet - Pashurinko follows without any prompting. Pashurinko is trying hard to land a takedown here. Alkofer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Alkofer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pashurinko counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pashurinko looks for a takedown but Alkofer sprawls well. Alkofer doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pashurinko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Alkofer won't be happy with that. Anton Pashurinko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luke Alkofer. Alkofer looks gassed! Pashurinko has hold of Alkofer's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Alkofer seems comfortable defending it but Pashurinko has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Alkofer is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Alkofer is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Pashurinko couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Anton Pashurinko! In his post fight interview, Anton Pashurinko started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
