The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sapp.
Lewis tries to clinch but Sapp moves out of range.

Lewis tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Sapp manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bob Sapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sapp looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lewis closes the distance but Sapp moves to the side
enabling Sapp to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Lenny Lewis has been cut.

Lewis walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Sapp rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Lewis has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.

Sapp struggles to land a body shot inside as Lewis controls his hands.

Lewis digs a right hand into Sapp's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sapp's gas tank.

Sapp tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Lewis's elbow.
Lewis lands a hook that snaps the head of Sapp backwards.

Lewis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sapp throws a lazy uppercut
and Lewis counters with a right, followed by a huge uppercut that sends Sapp crashing to the mat! Sapp is trying to use the ropes to get back to his feet but he's all over the place - the referee has seen enough and has stopped the fight! Lewis screams with a mixture of joy and relief, whilst celebrating with his cornermen.
