Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bob Belcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduard Iriskhanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Belcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eduard Iriskhanov!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belcher throws a right hand that Iriskhanov ducks under and follows up with a left that Iriskhanov also avoids with ease.
Horrible takedown by Belcher or perhaps it was just good defense by Iriskhanov which made him look bad.
Belcher misses with a takedown
and Iriskhanov counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
No joy there for Iriskhanov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Belcher fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Iriskhanov sprawls well initially but Belcher persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Iriskhanov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Belcher is working away from the top position though.

Belcher decides to stand and escape the position.
Iriskhanov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Iriskhanov stalks Belcher and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Belcher's face. Belcher staggers backwards, shaken.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Iriskhanov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Iriskhanov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bob Belcher is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Belcher shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Iriskhanov but Iriskhanov pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Iriskhanov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Belcher.
Belcher dives in and grabs Iriskhanov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Iriskhanov pushes down on Belcher's head and hops out.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Belcher, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
