Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azis Hasis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hasis comes into the arena with Manu Chao - King Of Bongo blaring out of the sound system. Kennedy has chosen Kernkraft 400 (Sport Chant Stadium Remix) by Zombie Nation as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Azis Hasis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan Kennedy! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kennedy throws a right hand that Hasis ducks under and follows up with a left that Hasis also avoids with ease. Kennedy circles away from the clinch attempt.

Hasis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kennedy swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hasis has Kennedy up against the cage in a clinch.

Kennedy lands an elbow inside that Hasis shrugs off. Kennedy blocks an elbow strike. Hasis lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Hasis avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Azis Hasis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Evan Kennedy. That's two minutes gone in the round. Kennedy turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kennedy manages to end up in side control. Kennedy looks gassed! Hasis is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kennedy has just dragged him back down to the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kennedy sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hasis is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Hasis is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Kennedy decides to stand back up. Kennedy steps back and let's Hasis get back to his feet. Hasis tries to clinch but Kennedy is having none of it. Hasis fails in his attempt to clinch. Azis Hasis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kennedy circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kennedy bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Hasis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hasis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kennedy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hasis tries to clinch but Kennedy moves out of range. Azis Hasis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kennedy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kennedy lands in his opponent's guard. Kennedy looking to pass the guard. Hasis scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Hasis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kennedy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Hasis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kennedy on the ground. Hasis wants to stand back up but Kennedy manages to pass into side control.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kennedy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hasis, who protects the arm well. Hasis wants to get back to his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kennedy controls the position from side control. Kennedy prevents Hasis from escaping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kennedy trying to control but Hasis is working from the bottom. Hasis is wriggling around but Kennedy manages to pass to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kennedy won't let Hasis get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kennedy working for a guillotine from mount but Hasis is in no mood to give up. Kennedy stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Hasis tries to clinch up and Kennedy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hasis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kennedy is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kennedy stands up from guard. Let's bang! Hasis darts in trying to clinch and Kennedy decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hasis's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hasis wants to stand and escape but Kennedy is having none of it. Hasis uses the cage to get back to his feet.

That could mean trouble for Hasis! Kennedy content just to control the position here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kennedy working Hasis over with strikes here. Hasis defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kennedy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hasis is trying to stand but he's just given Kennedy his back. Kennedy lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Kennedy.

Hasis is trying to get back to his feet but Kennedy has full control of the position and if anything, Hasis has just worked his way into a worse spot. Kennedy is punishing Hasis with strikes - can he finish him?! Hasis looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hasis is taking damage to the body and head. Hasis trying to get back to his feet but Kennedy is in full control for now. Evan Kennedy has got the better of the ground game so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Evan Kennedy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Hasis is working an open guard so Kennedy takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Kennedy shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hasis but Hasis pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hasis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Kennedy.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kennedy creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kennedy has picked Hasis up - he's going for a ride! Kennedy dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Hasis kicks Kennedy off and gets back to his feet. Kennedy shoots in for a double leg but Hasis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Hasis darts in and clinches Kennedy up against the cage. Kennedy drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hasis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kennedy blocks it with crossed arms. Kennedy has Hasis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hasis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Hasis lands a nice shot to the body. Hasis crunches a lovely knee into Kennedy's ribcage. Kennedy takes an elbow to the temple. Kennedy is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hasis is keeping busy. Hasis stalling in the clinch but Kennedy improves position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hasis gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
