Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mick Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Quintana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Mick Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julio Quintana! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quintana shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jones misses with a head kick.
Jones takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Quintana throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jones tests Quintana's chin there with a solid looking shot. Quintana avoids the head kick by Jones.
Jones takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Nice body punch from Quintana.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mick Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Quintana connects with a jab.
It looks like Mick Jones has been cut. Jones lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Quintana slips a jab and a cross from Jones.
A slow jab from Quintana misses its intended target. A big right from Quintana misses. Jones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Quintana throws out the jab. Quintana misses the shot to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quintana tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Quintana moves out of range of the body kick from Jones.
Jones cracks Quintana with a good jab. Quintana connects with a body shot. Julio Quintana seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slow jab from Quintana misses its intended target. Quintana lands a nice hook to Jones's body. Jones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Jones tries a low kick but Quintana avoids it.

and Jones counters with a head kick. Quintana with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jones to score with a decent uppercut. Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Quintana. Quintana is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Jones avoids the body shot from Quintana.
Jones uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Quintana. Quintana tries to clinch up. Jones blocks a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving. Good standup being displayed there by Jones as he connects with a hook. Jones misses with a looping right. Jones misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jones on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A shot to the liver by Quintana. Beautiful body shot. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones misses with a straight right. Quintana avoids the head kick by Jones.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Quintana dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mick Jones's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Quintana shoots in for a double leg but Jones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Quintana misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jones.
Quintana swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Jones is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Jones takes one to the side of the head.
Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Quintana misses with a left hand and Quintana takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Quintana scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Jones throws a head kick that misses. Quintana waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones.

and Jones counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jones moves out of range of the strikes. Quintana looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. A jab from Quintana finds it's way through Jones's defenses. Jones on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Quintana throws a lazy uppercut
and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quintana throws a combination. Jones tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Quintana falls off balance throwing a combination
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut. Julio Quintana seems to be getting the better of the standup. Quintana misses with a body shot.
Donk. Quintana catches Jones right on the button with a cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big right from Quintana misses. Jones takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Jones gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Quintana. Quintana moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. A jab from Quintana misses. Quintana missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Jones pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Quintana wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones misses with an uppercut. Quintana saw that one coming. Quintana sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Jones slips a jab from Quintana. Quintana throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones. Quintana misses with a jab to the body
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut. Quintana misses with a takedown letting Jones counter with a right hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julio Quintana showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mick Jones's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Quintana looks to land a left hand but Jones moved out of range nicely. Quintana jabs Jones to the body, keeping him at a distance. Nice body punch from Quintana. Quintana is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones. Jones thows a left - swing and a miss! Quintana misses the jab. Quintana misses with a double jab
and Jones counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Jones slips a straight right by Quintana. Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Quintana circles away.
Jones looks to throw the jab but Quintana is out of range. Quintana throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Quintana scores with a hook. Jones moves to clinch but Quintana breaks away and Quintana connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quintana thows a left - swing and a miss! Quintana tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Quintana. Quintana scores with a jab to the head.
Jones lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Quintana.

A combination from Quintana does no damage. A big right from Quintana misses. Quintana throws a combination that misses and Jones counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Quintana tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quintana thows a left - swing and a miss! Jones misses with a head kick.

and Jones counters with an outside leg kick.
Quintana fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jones to the ground. Quintana is now in Jones's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quintana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Quintana manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quintana trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mick Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! Julio Quintana comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Quintana has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
