Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jean Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vilhelm Alminglikish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vilhelm Alminglikish! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alminglikish takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Pierre looks for a takedown but Alminglikish sprawls well. Pierre misses with a takedown attempt - Alminglikish sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A decent looking body kick lands there for Alminglikish. Alminglikish stuffs the takedown attempt from Pierre. Pierre gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pierre misses with a takedown attempt - Alminglikish sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pierre pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Alminglikish connects with a nice looking jab.
Alminglikish lunges at Pierre with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Pierre's hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alminglikish displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pierre. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Pierre. Alminglikish gets caught flat footed, as Pierre shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Pierre is breathing heavily. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Alminglikish bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pierre's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pierre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alminglikish defends it easily. Alminglikish trying to control the position from guard on top but Pierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Alminglikish wanted to stand there but Pierre had control of the position. Pierre is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Alminglikish wants to stand but Pierre has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Alminglikish is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pierre isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Alminglikish stacks Pierre on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Alminglikish!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pierre manages to get back to half guard. Pierre is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Alminglikish's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Alminglikish's back! Alminglikish trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Pierre loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Alminglikish hold on?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pierre is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Alminglikish has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Alminglikish showing good submission defense here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Alminglikish covering up well under a series of strikes from Pierre. Alminglikish defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Pierre gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Alminglikish is trying to break free.
Alminglikish really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pierre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pierre is cranking Alminglikish's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Alminglikish! He's tightened the choke and Alminglikish is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jean Pierre! Jean Pierre was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
