Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jake Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Palhares kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Flo Rida- 54321. Gomez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Before I Forget kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Franco Gomez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Palhares counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gomez!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Palhares is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Gomez can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Palhares is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Gomez is forced to tap! Great finish!
