Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Calgary Alberta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Calgary Alberta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paul Taylor! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Taylor looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Taylor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Alberta tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taylor swats him away and circles back towards the center. Alberta moves out of range of the body kick. Taylor has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Alberta finds it's way round the side to connect with Taylor's head. Taylor looks for the body kick but Alberta saw that one coming. Alberta wants to clinch. Taylor looks to land a body kick but Alberta moved away. Alberta feints and as Taylor raises his hands in defense, Alberta changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Alberta avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Alberta won't allow Taylor to sweep him here. Taylor has a closed guard, preventing Alberta from standing up. Alberta preventing the sweep. Alberta wants to stand but Taylor has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor working a defensive guard here.
Alberta drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Alberta jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Alberta sitting in guard here, content to control. Taylor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alberta defends it easily. Alberta wants to control from the top but Taylor keeps moving. Alberta has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Taylor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Alberta stopping the sweep attempt from Taylor. Alberta might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor tries to strike from the bottom.
Taylor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Alberta is one step ahead there. Alberta trying to control the position from guard on top but Taylor is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Alberta has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Taylor is proving hard to escape from. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alberta postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Taylor is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Alberta, into his guard. Taylor scoring with punches to the head and body. Alberta on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alberta tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alberta keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully. Alberta pulls Taylor in to control the position. Taylor working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Alberta's head. Alberta looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Taylor wants to pass the guard but Alberta is keeping the position. Taylor trying to control but Alberta is working from the bottom. Alberta is trying to control the position but Taylor postures up. Taylor is pushing down on Alberta's leg trying to pass to half guard. Alberta is fighting to maintain full guard but Taylor has managed to sneak the leg through. Taylor is trying to control the action in half guard but Alberta is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Alberta is trying to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alberta is refusing to be controlled, as Taylor sits in half guard. Alberta is trying to maintain the position but Taylor is very close to passing his half guard. Taylor prevents Alberta from improving his position. Taylor seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Alberta does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Alberta checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Taylor tries a head kick but it misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Alberta bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Taylor's head. Taylor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alberta swivels and escapes. Taylor misses with a body kick. Taylor fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Calgary Alberta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Taylor. Alberta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Paul Taylor will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Alberta has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Taylor avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. A battle for position here, against the cage. Alberta scores with a shot to the side of Taylor's head. Taylor gets through Alberta's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Taylor lands with a light punch inside. Taylor scores with a nice hook to the head.
It looks like Calgary Alberta has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Alberta has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Taylor uses from the top position.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Alberta is looking to sinch up a triangle. Taylor throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Alberta's body to avoid the submission. Alberta has instead reached around Taylor's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Alberta arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Calgary Alberta! Calgary Alberta decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
