Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Barry Van Harrie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barry Van Harrie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anthony Hanson!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hanson closes the distance and clinches.
Van Harrie tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hanson avoids it.
Van Harrie misses with a knee to the head.
Van Harrie is trying to break the clinch but Hanson has him pressed against the cage.

Hanson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Van Harrie can't fight it off and eventually Hanson manages to take the fight to the floor. Van Harrie looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Van Harrie could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hanson looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hanson is throwing strikes by Van Harrie counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Van Harrie regains half guard.

Hanson shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Harrie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hanson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Hanson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Anthony Hanson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
