Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anton LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anton LaVey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fedor Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. LaVey has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Emelianenko finds it's way round the side to connect with LaVey's head. LaVey lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Emelianenko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Emelianenko throws a hook to the side of LaVey's head but LaVey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. LaVey looks to land a right hand but Emelianenko moved out of range. LaVey throws a body punch but Emelianenko moves out of range. Emelianenko forces LaVey back against the cage and clinches. Emelianenko lands a right hand. Emelianenko softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. LaVey tries to circle away but Emelianenko has him pinned against the cage. Emelianenko jumps into guard, dragging LaVey to the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. LaVey scoring with some ground and pound. LaVey drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and LaVey jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Emelianenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but LaVey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. LaVey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. LaVey is working Emelianenko over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. LaVey is stalling in the full guard. Emelianenko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Emelianenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. LaVey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. LaVey trying to control but Emelianenko is working from the bottom. LaVey throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Emelianenko works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Emelianenko is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. LaVey throws a big right hand that misses. Emelianenko is trying to keep LaVey in close.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Emelianenko is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. LaVey is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelianenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but LaVey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Emelianenko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in LaVey's guard. LaVey keeping full guard, as Emelianenko tries to pass. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! LaVey has his hands on Emelianenko's head, controlling the position. LaVey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Emelianenko on the ground. Emelianenko won't allow LaVey to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Emelianenko works a leg free and moves into half guard. Emelianenko is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! LaVey is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Fedor Emelianenko! As Fedor Emelianenko got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: My Career had a rocky start but this is the turning point, I am Focused on improving and proving to myself that I am Worthy to be Fedor'.
