Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Swarner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Otomono Sahito! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, David Schapiro and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Swarner is looking to clinch. Sahito closes the distance and pushes Swarner back into the cage. Swarner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sahito breaks from the clinch.
Sahito tries to clinch up. Swarner throws a head kick but Sahito moves out of range.
Sahito blocks a low kick nicely. Sahito wants to clinch. Sahito tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Swarner manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sahito throws a lazy head kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Sahito throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sahito fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Swarner avoids it really well and circles away. Sahito doesn't manage to clinch there - Swarner circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sahito. Otomono Sahito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sahito throws a push kick but Swarner slaps the foot to one side. Swarner throws the left hand but Sahito avoids the punch easily. Sahito's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Swarner connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sahito scrambles back to his feet. Swarner throws a leg kick that misses. Swarner thows a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Swarner leaves Sahito with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bob Swarner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Otomono Sahito. Sahito shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Swarner but Swarner pushes him off and we're back to square one. Swarner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sahito swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sahito takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Sahito throws a right hand that Swarner ducks under and follows up with a left that Swarner also avoids with ease. Sahito is looking to clinch but Swarner is avoiding it.
Sahito moves out of range as Swarner strikes. Swarner keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sahito shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Swarner as he avoids it easily. Swarner tries to keep at a distance but Sahito has taken the fight into the clinch. Sahito escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Swarner cracks Sahito with a right hand to the side of the head. Swarner tries a head kick but it misses.
Bob Swarner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sahito throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Swarner's waist but Swarner gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sahito off to one side. Swarner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sahito shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Sahito throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swarner tries to work over Sahito's front leg with a kick but Sahito checks it. Swarner misses with a body punch
and Sahito counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sahito. Sahito tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Swarner just stands there and leans against the cage. Sahito tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Swarner wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sahito has Swarner pressed against the cage, preventing Swarner from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Sahito pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Sahito shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Swarner but Swarner pushes him off and we're back to square one. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sahito fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bob Swarner will probably get the nod. That's time! Swarner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Swarner works over Sahito's head and body with a nice combination. Sahito wants to clinch up but Swarner keeps it at a distance. Swarner lands a jab to the nose. Sahito checks the leg kick nicely there.

Bob Swarner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Otomono Sahito. Sahito takes one on the button. Sahito throws a head kick that misses. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sahito takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Swarner is defending well against a takedown attempt. Swarner is trying to push Sahito away but Sahito has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A frustrated look appears on Sahito's face as he tries to break the clinch. Sahito breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sahito shoots in for a takedown but Swarner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Swarner tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sahito counters with a right hand to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Swarner wants to clinch up but Sahito keeps it at a distance. Bob Swarner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Swarner avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sahito walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Swarner will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sahito misses with a takedown attempt - Swarner sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Sahito pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Sahito tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Swarner swivels and escapes.

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Swarner wants it to stay on the feet. Sahito takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sahito throws a right and a left that Swarner avoids nicely. Sahito moves out of range as Swarner throws a body kick.

Otomono Sahito has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bob Swarner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Swarner dodges the punch combination from Sahito.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob Swarner showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Swarner, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
