The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in for a takedown but Salcido shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Salcido counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but Salcido manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The fighters circle momentarily. Salcido darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Salcido but Salcido pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Salcido takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Salcido leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Jon Jones Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aguinaldo Salcido showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.
Silva takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Salcido throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salcido off to one side.
Silva takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

No joy there for Silva, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well Salcido has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
