And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diogo Pontes!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silvas closes the distance and clinches.
Silvas stalling in the clinch but Pontes improves position.
Pontes is trying to pull guard but Silvas turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Pontes can't get the takedown.

Silvas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Silvas clinches up with Pontes and pushes him back against the cage.
Pontes tries for a takedown. No joy.

Pontes has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Silvas is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Pontes yanks on the arm and Silvas is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Pontes.
