Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Igielski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rejinaldo Villasenor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mariusz Igielski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rejinaldo Villasenor! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Villasenor shoots in looking for a takedown. Igielski tries to sprawl out of it but Villasenor keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Igielski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Villasenor closes the distance looking to clinch and Igielski counters with a shoot takedown. Villasenor fights it but they end up in guard. Villasenor can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Igielski controls the pace. Igielski stands up over Villasenor, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Igielski content to stall in guard here. Villasenor is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Igielski is controlling him. Villasenor looks winded! Igielski is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mariusz Igielski. Igielski looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Igielski is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Igielski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Villasenor shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Igielski but Igielski pushes him off and we're back to square one. Igielski forces Villasenor back against the cage and clinches. Igielski breaks from the clinch.
Igielski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Igielski moves nicely into side control. Igielski is chipping away with strikes.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Villasenor for as long as he can get away with. Villasenor gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Igielski tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mariusz Igielski wasn't doing enough on the ground. Igielski tries to bum rush Villasenor with a series of wild strikes but Villasenor uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Igielski swings for the body but Villasenor moves out of range.

Igielski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Villasenor was well out of range. Poor timing from Igielski. Igielski drives through with a takedown into guard. Igielski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Villasenor moves in looking to clinch but Igielski pushes him off. Sloppy strikes from Villasenor. Those never looked like landing. Igielski misses with a series of wild punches.
Villasenor throws a series of punches but Igielski avoids them all with ease. Igielski lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Rejinaldo Villasenor has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Igielski closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Igielski lands in his opponent's guard. Igielski controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Igielski passes Villasenor's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Villasenor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Igielski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Villasenor is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Igielski keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Igielski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Mariusz Igielski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Igielski connects with a nice short shot to Villasenor's temple. Igielski is controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Igielski stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Villasenor gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Igielski engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Igielski postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Igielski controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Igielski with a nice head shot there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Igielski landing some decent shots from guard. Igielski makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Igielski postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Igielski keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Villasenor's head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Villasenor can't keep his opponent in guard - Igielski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Villasenor has hold of Igielski's hands but Igielski slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Igielski works his way into full mount! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Igielski controlling from the full mount.

Mariusz Igielski dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Rejinaldo Villasenor's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Igielski decides to stand up. Igielski closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Villasenor to the mat! Villasenor manages to get full guard. Igielski looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Villasenor takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. This has been an exciting period of action!
That's one minute gone in the round. Igielski passes easily into side control. Nice work. Igielski has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Igielski looks to throw the jab but Villasenor is out of range. Igielski drives through and clinches with Villasenor against the cage.
Igielski pulls guard. Igielski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Igielski takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mariusz Igielski wasn't doing enough on the ground. Igielski looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Igielski works his way into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Igielski has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Villasenor! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Igielski postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Villasenor looks a forlorn figure.
Igielski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Villasenor can do to turn this around? Igielski lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Igielski controlling from the full mount. Igielski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mariusz Igielski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Mariusz Igielski showed his dominance in that final round. Well Igielski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
