Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robbin Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Nervecell - Psychogenocide. Alves is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Blue Stahli-ULTRAnumb. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Robbin Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Alves! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves lands a leg kick that knocks Gracie off balance momentarily. Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Alves.
A head kick by Alves misses and Gracie makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Gracie blocks a head kick by Alves.
Gracie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gracie has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Alves after a bit of a struggle. Gracie throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Alves tries to break the clinch but Gracie is controlling the position. Alves is trying to break the clinch but Gracie has him pressed against the cage. Gracie lands with a right to the head. Alves looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Alves stalling in the clinch but Gracie improves position. Gracie pulls Alves into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Gracie is looking for a triangle but Alves pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alves has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Alves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Alves wanted to stand there but Gracie had control of the position. Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alves defends well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Alves defends easily.
Alves sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gracie's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Alves wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gracie keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves is working for a submission of some sort.
Alves is looking to advance position but Gracie won't allow it. Gracie works his way to full guard. Good work. Alves tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard. Alves postures up in Gracie's guard and throws a big left but Gracie blocks it. Gracie trying to control the position.
Alves tries to stand but Gracie is controlling from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alves accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Alves wants to stand but Gracie has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Alves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alves has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Alves defends easily.
Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Alves is sitting in close to Gracie's body. Gracie has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Alves is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Alves is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gracie.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Robbin Gracie! A relieved looking Robbin Gracie thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
