Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Silva! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Silva trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson is defending against the submission attempts here by Silva.
Silva seems to be looking for submissions.
Jackson is looking to improve his position.
Silva is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silva in particular looking to stall. Silva wants to pass the guard but Jackson is defending well. Silva is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jackson has managed to free his arm - good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson is looking to escape.

Jackson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Silva controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Jackson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well. Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Silva manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted. Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Silva's guard. Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jackson advances position into side control! Silva manages to get back to half guard. Silva gets back to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson wants to stand but Silva has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Jackson stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Silva shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Silva gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Silva fails with a takedown attempt. Lee Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Jackson is pressing down on Silva's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well. Silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jackson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Silva, into his guard. Jackson trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom. Jackson advances position into side control! Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Jackson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jackson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jackson working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lee Jackson will probably get the nod. That's time! Jackson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Silva is keen to just control but Jackson is a slippery customer. Jackson is trying to stand up here but Silva is controlling him well. Silva jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jackson manages to avoid the submission attempt. Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Silva trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom. Jackson pushes Silva away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Silva gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Jackson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Silva laying and praying for a moment but Jackson takes advantage and regains half guard.

Silva wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silva can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Silva trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva sitting in guard, not really doing much. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Silva drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Jackson's guard. Jackson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Silva wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jackson keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully. Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jackson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jackson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva slips nicely into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Silva is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
