Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gabs Nunes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fish Nak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nak has chosen GLADIADOR - Now we are free as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabs Nunes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fish Nak! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nunes misses with the combination.
Nunes is looking to land body kicks. Nunes misses with a head kick.
Nak gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Nunes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nak thinking. Gabs Nunes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nunes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nunes prevents Nak from getting back to his feet. Nak is trying to control the position but Nunes postures up. Nunes engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Nunes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Nak not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nak avoids the head kick by Nunes.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nunes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Nunes is looking to take a break and control but Nak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Nak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Nunes swings around for an armbar but Nak sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nunes's guard. Nak pushes down on Nunes's leg and manages to get into half guard. Nak thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nunes's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nak wants to pass the guard but Nunes is defending well. Nak wants to take a breather but Nunes is having none of it. Nak moves nicely into side control. Nak tries for a kimura but Nunes is defending well. Nunes is trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nak trying to control the action but Nunes is working from the bottom. Nak in side control, just content to control the action for now. Nunes is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Nak has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nak has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Nunes misses with a series of wild punches.
Nunes has closed the distance and engaged Nak in a clinch.

Gabs Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fish Nak. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nunes breaks from the clinch.

That was a close round but I would say that Gabs Nunes will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nunes gets a takedown into half guard. Nak flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Nak is doing well to control the position and prevent Nunes from advancing to side control. Nak wants to improve his position but Nunes is controlling well.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Nak makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nak. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunes wants to control from the top but Nak keeps moving. Nunes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Nunes throws a right and a left that Nak avoids nicely. Nunes throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Nak fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Nunes displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Nak. Nunes throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Nunes looks to land a combination. Nak sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Nak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nunes is fending him off so far but Nak persists. Nope, Nunes circles away and we're back to standing. Gabs Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fish Nak. Nunes looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nak!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nunes lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Nunes stands up from mount. Strange move. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nak. Nak is breathing heavily. Nak takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Nunes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Nak shoots for a takedown but Nunes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nunes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nak quickly recovers to half guard. Nak trying to control but Nunes postures up.
Nak has one foot on Nunes's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Nunes throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nunes clinches up with Nak and pushes him back against the cage. Nunes breaks the clinch.
Nak checks a low kick from Nunes. Nak misses with a takedown attempt - Nunes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nunes lands a jab-cross combination. Nunes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nak fails with the takedown so Nunes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Nunes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Nunes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nak dives on top into guard. Nak stands up from guard. Let's bang! Nak fails with a takedown attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nak misses with a takedown attempt - Nunes sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nak dodges the punch combination from Nunes.

Gabs Nunes dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Nunes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nunes pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nak back to the cage. Nunes follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Nak blocks a head kick by Nunes.

Nak with a poor takedown and Nunes counters with a three punch combo that has Nak backing up. Nak nods at Nunes to acknowledge the strikes. Nak misses with a takedown and Nunes counters with a stiff right hand. Nunes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nunes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Naks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Nunes throws a right and a left that both miss. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nunes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nak moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A punch combination from Nunes misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nunes throws the left hand but Nak avoids the punch easily. Nak shoots in and drives through. Nunes sprawls well. Gabs Nunes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fish Nak. A telegraphed right hand from Nunes misses the target. A punch combination from Nunes misses. Nunes swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nak has his takedown stuffed so Nunes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Nak trying to control the position.
Nak has his foot on Nunes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nunes works his way back into a safe position though. Nak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gabs Nunes is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nunes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Nak shoots in for a takedown but Nunes shows good takedown defense. Nunes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nunes moves into the clinch. Nak tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Nunes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nunes slaps away a takedown attempt from Nak, before circling back to the center of the mat. Nunes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nak with a poor takedown and Nunes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nak's guard. Nunes wanted to stand there but Nak had control of the position. Nak is trying to keep Nunes in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gabs Nunes. Nak shoots for a takedown but Nunes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Nunes!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nunes slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Fish Nak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nunes scores with a jab to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Gabs Nunes showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nunes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Gabs Nunes! After the fight, Gabs Nunes was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
