PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes to the cage accompanied by Chow Time!. Jitsu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Nikkfurie- The a la Menthe. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tim Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jiu Jitsu!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin lands a nice looking body shot.
Jitsu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Martin.
Martin slaps away a takedown attempt from Jitsu, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jitsu misses with a series of wild punches.
Martin misses with a double jab.
Jitsu closes the distance and clinches up with Martin, looking for a takedown. Jitsu pushes Martin against the cage but Martin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tim Martin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jiu Jitsu.

and Martin counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Jitsu thinking.
Jitsu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Martin sprawls well. Martin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jitsu gets slowly back to his feet.

Martin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Martin throws a lazy right hand but Jitsu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Martin throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jitsu on the side of the head.
Martin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Martin takes a swing at Jitsu's ribcage but misses.
Jitsu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Martin as he avoids it easily.

Jitsu misses with a takedown attempt - Martin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jiu Jitsu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Martin dodges the punch combination from Jitsu.
Martin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Martin misses with a few strikes there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Martin throws a hook to the side of Jitsu's head but Jitsu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Martin is looking to wear down Jitsu with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Jitsu thumps Martin with a low kick.
Jitsu misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jitsu misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Martin stuffs the takedown.
Jitsu wants to clinch up but Martin keeps it at a distance.

Jitsu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Martin throws out the jab.

Jitsu feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jitsu drops back looking for a leg! Martin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Martin manages to kick Jitsu off! Jitsu jumps back into Martin's guard.

Jitsu gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Martin throws a sloppy head kick and Jitsu moves out of range easily.
Martin jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Jitsu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Martin pinned against the cage. Martin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Martin throws a series of punches but Jitsu avoids them all with ease.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Martin throws a head kick but Jitsu moves out of range.
Jitsu misses with a takedown
and Martin counters with a low kick, right behind Jitsu 's knee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tim Martin dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jitsu throws a right hand that Martin ducks under and follows up with a left that Martin also avoids with ease.

Martin slaps away a takedown attempt from Jitsu, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Martin misses with a double jab.
Martin leaves Jitsu with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Martin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jitsu was well out of range. Poor timing from Martin.

Jitsu shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jitsu showed some decent athleticism there.
Martin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jitsu on the ground.
Martin is staying active underneath Jitsu, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Jitsu seems to be working for a kimura but Martin defends the submission attempt.

Jitsu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Martin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jitsu.
