Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Homero Lacerda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lacerda comes into the arena with Go Hard blaring out of the sound system. Rodrigues has chosen Sandstorm as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

It looks like Lucio Rodrigues has been cut.
Rodrigues shoots for a double leg takedown but Lacerda sprawls well. He's pushed Rodrigues's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rodrigues remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Rodrigues's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Lacerda throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Rodrigues.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lacerda seems to be stalking Rodrigues here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Rodrigues drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
