Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Etienne Evans! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Seth Copeland! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice uppercut there from Copeland. Copeland is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Evans walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Copeland checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Copeland stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Copeland wants it to stay on the feet. A swing and a miss from Evans. Evans gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Evans is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Evans is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Copeland is aware though and is defending well. Evans controls Copeland momentarily but Copeland frees himself. Evans is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Copeland defends well. Copeland is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Copeland stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard. Evans had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Copeland defends it easily. Evans is trying to keep Copeland in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Copeland is pushing down on Evans's leg trying to pass to half guard. Evans is fighting to maintain full guard but Copeland has managed to sneak the leg through. Copeland perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Copeland's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Evans works his way to full guard. Good work. Copeland postures up and lands a big shot to Evans's brow. Copeland showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Evans working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Copeland doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Copeland manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Evans looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Copeland looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Copeland trying to control but Evans is working from the bottom. Evans is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Copeland defends well. Copeland got a little sloppy there for a moment and Evans has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Copeland has managed to get both his arms back between Evans's legs - danger averted. Evans is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Copeland wants to pass the guard but Evans is keeping the position.

Copeland must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Copeland working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Copeland trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Copeland looking to pass the guard. Copeland is posturing up here but Evans has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Copeland tries to roll out but it's too tight and Copeland has to tap! Slick submission there by Evans!
