Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Bowens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Air Canada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Air Canada is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Bowens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Air Canada! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Canada lands a slapping body shot.

Bowens throws a body kick that misses. Bowens fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bowens shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Canada counters with a nice leg kick. Bowens looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Bowens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bowens tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Canada paws at him with a jab and circles away. Canada misses with a low kick.
Bowens takes the fight into the clinch. Canada misses with a knee to the head. Bowens manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Bowens working for a triangle but Canada defends it easily.

Canada doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Canada manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Bowens looking to hit a scissor sweep but Canada is one step ahead there. Bowens is breathing heavily.

Canada drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bowens manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Canada has Bowens in his guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowens trying to control the position from guard on top but Canada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bowens not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Bowens has gone for a leg lock! Canada slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bowens's guard.

Canada drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bowens manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Canada has Bowens in his guard. Canada keeping moving, preventing Bowens from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bowens postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Bowens dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bowens wants to clinch up but Canada keeps it at a distance. Canada lands with a nice body punch. Bowens fails in his attempt to clinch. Bowens is looking to clinch. Bowens fails with a takedown attempt. Canada circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bowens on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Bowens shoots in for a double leg but Canada sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Canada tries to bum rush Bowens with a series of wild strikes but Bowens uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Canada connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bowens. Bowens circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Bowens closes the distance and clinches up with Canada, looking for a takedown. Bowens pushes Canada against the cage but Canada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Bowens. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bowens fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bowens looks for a takedown but Canada sprawls well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bowens shoots in and drives through. Canada sprawls well. Bowens dives in and grabs Canada's left leg, looking for a takedown. Canada pushes down on Bowens's head and hops out. Canada scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bowens doesn't seem bothered though. Bowens chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Canada can pounce on him.
Canada looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Bowens takes a jab right on the kisser.
Canada lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Canada. Bowens closes the distance and clinches up with Canada, looking for a takedown. Bowens pushes Canada against the cage but Canada circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Canada feints a jab promting Bowens to slip. Canada then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bowens slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Bowens takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bowens with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Canada to score with a decent uppercut. Canada cracks Bowens with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Bowens really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bowens just misses with a punch to the body.
Canada throws a right and a left that Bowens avoids nicely. Canada misses with a jab, cross combination.
Air Canada seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bowens shoots for a double leg takedown but Canada sprawls well. He's pushed Bowens's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Canada ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. James Bowens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Canada throws a right hand that Bowens ducks under and follows up with a left that Bowens also avoids with ease. Canada misses with the combination.
Bowens shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Canada is trying to defend but Bowens finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowens is keen to just control but Canada is a slippery customer. Bowens is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Bowens is just content to waste time from the top position. Canada takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Bowens stops Canada from standing up. Canada is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Canada wants to take a breather but Bowens is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bowens tries to kick Canada off but Canada keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Canada is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Bowens looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Air Canada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Canada is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Bowens tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Canada manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Bowens uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Canada. Bowens gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Canada is trying to push Bowens away but Bowens has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Canada pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bowens tries to clinch but Canada moves out of range. Canada tries a low kick but Bowens avoids it. Canada misses with a wild combination.
Air Canada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Canada takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Bowens throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Canada was covering up waiting for the punch and Bowens finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bowens forces his way into half guard. Bowens wants to pass the guard but Canada is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Canada wants to get back to full guard but Bowens has mounted him! Canada working to try and regain half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Canada tries to improve his position but Bowens has taken his back! Bowens has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Canada tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bowens pushes Canada away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
