PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. Justin Paul told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Eric Mac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Paul! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mac throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Mac slips under a jab. Mac fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Paul checks it well. Mac fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Paul has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mac tries to close the distance and clinch but Paul swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A nice inside leg kick there by Mac. That's going to slow Paul down. Mac connects with a solid leg kick. Paul looks gassed! Mac throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Mac feints and then cracks Paul's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Paul down. Mac lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
That has opened up Justin Paul's cut even more. Mac feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Paul's calf. Mac throws a head kick that half lands.
Mac is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A solid body kick from Mac. A chopping leg kick lands by Mac. An inside leg kick lands from Mac. Mac fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Paul has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Good leg kick by Mac there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Mac lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mac throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Justin Paul's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mac swinging wildly here.
Paul takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Mac throws a one two combo.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Justin Paul's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
