Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trey Farmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Trey Farmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roberto Colon!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Farmer.
Farmer tries to close the distance and clinch but Colon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Colon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Farmer but Farmer pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Colon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Colon thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Farmer controls Colon momentarily but Colon frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Colon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Colon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Colon tries to free his leg and advance position but Farmer is retaining full guard.

Colon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Farmer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Colon, into his guard.
Farmer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Colon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Farmer gets to his feet. Colon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Colon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Farmer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Colon avoids a kick to the body.
No luck for Colon with that takedown attempt.
Trey Farmer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Colon.

Colon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Farmer to score an easy takedown into full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Farmer stops Colon from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Colon pushes Farmer off and gets back to his feet.
Colon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Farmer's waist but Farmer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Colon off to one side.

Farmer scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Colon throws Farmer to one side and escapes!

and Farmer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Colon is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Farmer is looking to break free of the clinch but Colon has double underhooks.
Farmer jumps guard but Colon stands there with Farmer around his waist. Farmer gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Trey Farmer will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Farmer is looking to clinch but Colon is avoiding it.

Colon throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Farmer tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Colon is in Farmer's guard.

Colon has gone for a leg lock! Farmer slips out almost immediately though and dives into Colon's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Farmer accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Colon kicks Farmer off and gets to his feet.
Colon cracks a nice hook into Farmer's ribs.
A telegraphed right hand from Farmer misses the target.
Farmer leaves Colon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
An inside leg kick from Farmer misses.
Farmer slaps away a takedown attempt from Colon, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Colon drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Colon advances to half guard.

Colon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Farmer has managed to free his arm - good work.
Colon is pressing down on Farmer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Farmer is holding on for now.
Farmer moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Colon advances position into side control!

Colon has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Farmer is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Colon yanks on the arm and Farmer is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Colon.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Roberto Colon!
