Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mickey O Neil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Ivey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Neil comes to the cage accompanied by Golden Brown. Ivey has chosen Friday as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

28 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Phil Ivey!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Neil swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No joy there for O Neil, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ivey keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
O Neil throws a hook but Ivey blocks it.
Ivey tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but O Neil was well out of range. Poor timing from Ivey.
O Neil misses with a body shot.
O Neil throws a shot from downtown. Ivey moves away and avoids it.
O Neil takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
O Neil lands with an uppercut that bounces Ivey off the cage and back into range.
Ivey lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
O Neil stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ivey throws a head kick that half lands.
Ivey takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Ivey scores with a punch to the head.
Ivey lands with a thumping leg kick.
Ivey misses with a double jab.
O Neil misses with a head kick.
O Neil takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mickey O Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
O Neil gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ivey.
Ivey feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to O Neil's calf.
O Neil misses with an uppercut
enabling Ivey to counter with a crisp jab.

A jab from O Neil misses.
Ivey takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
O Neil fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ivey on the side of the head.
O Neil throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ivey lands with a good body shot.
Ivey ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
O Neil keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ivey throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A telegraphed right hand from O Neil misses the target.
O Neil throws a leg kick
and Ivey counters with a straight right hand.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from O Neil.
O Neil throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
O Neil scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Ivey is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! O Neil had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ivey takes a swing at O Neil's ribcage but misses.
O Neil throws a head kick but Ivey moves out of range.
Ivey blocks a jab.
O Neil throws a combination that misses
and Ivey makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ivey is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ivey paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ivey. O Neil does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ivey bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps O Neil's head backwards.
O Neil throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
O Neil scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
O Neil does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ivey comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Ivey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ivey throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
O Neil tries to land a leg kick but Ivey saw it coming and moves away.
O Neil throws out a leg kick but Ivey moves out of range and O Neil only half commits.
An inside leg kick from O Neil misses.
Ivey connects with a single shot there.
O Neil is looking to land body kicks.
O Neil throws a poor cross that misses
and Ivey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ivey misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ivey throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ivey lands with a hook. O Neil tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ivey ducks straight into an uppercut from O Neil and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Ivey manages to regain guard straight away.
Ivey is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
O Neil arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ivey's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mickey O Neil!
