PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwight Schrute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kitsune Tsuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schrute comes to the ring accompanied by Thunderstruck by AC DC. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dwight Schrute!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 16 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kitsune Tsuki!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Schrute.
Tsuki shoots in looking for a takedown. Schrute tries to sprawl out of it but Tsuki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Schrute manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tsuki dodges the punch combination from Schrute.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tsuki has Schrute pressed against the ropes, preventing Schrute from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Schrute tries to circle away but Tsuki has him pinned against the ropes.

Tsuki tries to score a body lock takedown but Schrute shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Schrute dodges an elbow strike from Tsuki.
Schrute wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tsuki has him pressed against the ropes.

Schrute breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Schrute throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schrute thows a body shot but no joy.
Schrute misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tsuki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dwight Schrute has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kitsune Tsuki.
A combination from Schrute does no damage.
Tsuki fails with a takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Schrute. Those never looked like landing.
Schrute is breathing heavily.
Tsuki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Schrute sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck for Tsuki with that takedown attempt.
Tsuki walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Tsuki rushes Schrute and presses him up against the ropes.
Tsuki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Schrute smiles and moves away.

Tsuki moves into the clinch.
Tsuki wants a takedown but no success here.

Tsuki tightens his grip and picks Schrute up, before dumping him to the ground. Schrute manages to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Schrute keeping moving, preventing Tsuki from controlling successfully.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tsuki stops Schrute from standing up.
Tsuki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Tsuki loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Tsuki thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Schrute will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Schrute wants to stand but Tsuki is controlling the position.
Tsuki wants to control from the top but Schrute keeps moving.
Tsuki landing with the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Schrute had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tsuki defends it easily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Schrute is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tsuki is controlling him.
Tsuki trying to control but Schrute is working from the bottom.
Tsuki advances position into side control!

Tsuki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Schrute is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Schrute is trying to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Schrute can't do much from the bottom here.

Tsuki tries for a kimura but Schrute is defending well.
Tsuki in side control, throwing shots but Schrute defends.

Tsuki is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Schrute has escaped the position, nice work there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kitsune Tsuki dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tsuki shoots in for a double leg but Schrute sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tsuki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Schrute as he jumps to the side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tsuki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tsuki wants to clinch.
A punch combination from Schrute misses.
Schrute throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tsuki.

letting Tsuki counter with a right hand.
No joy there for Schrute, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Schrute throws a lazy right hand but Tsuki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Tsuki bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Schrute on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Schrute tries to get out of the position.

Tsuki wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Schrute, who protects the arm well.
Tsuki in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tsuki has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Schrute!
Tsuki pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Schrute is squirming around, avoiding Tsuki's attempts to control the action.

Tsuki raining down hammerfists from mount.
Schrute keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tsuki lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Tsuki won't let Schrute get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Schrute is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Tsuki has hold of Schrute's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Schrute manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Schrute tries to hold on but Tsuki postures up.
Tsuki lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Tsuki quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Tsuki but it's paid off an Schrute is forced to tap! Nice work by Tsuki.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kitsune Tsuki!
