Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alistair Overeem!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slayer clinches with his opponent.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Overeem misses with a short punch on the inside.
Slayer blocks the elbow strike.
Overeem is trying to break free.
Slayer looking to stall.
Overeem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Slayer drops his hands momentarily and Overeem takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Slayer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Slayer closes the distance looking to clinch
and Overeem counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Overeem.
Overeem stops a takedown attempt from Slayer.
Slayer using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Slayer lands an elbow inside that Overeem shrugs off.
That has opened up Alistair Overeem's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Overeem is trying to push Slayer away but Slayer has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Overeem tries to break free but Slayer pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Overeem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Overeem scores with the left hand. Slayer knows he should have avoided that one.
Overeem stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fenriz Slayer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slayer takes one to the chin there.
Slayer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Slayer is breathing heavily.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Overeem lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Slayer!
Overeem is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Slayer can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Overeem is working for a guillotine from mount but Slayer frees his head quite easily.
Overeem is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Slayer to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Slayer shrugs it off.

Overeem landing strikes, looking to finish!
Overeem wants to control the pace but Slayer is squirming around nicely.
Slayer wants to hold on but Overeem pushes him away.
Overeem has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Slayer is squirming around, avoiding Overeem's attempts to control the action.

Slayer holds on to Overeem as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Overeem controlling the position easily from mount.
Overeem swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Slayer is now in Overeem's guard. A big mistake from Overeem there, giving up the dominant position!

Alistair Overeem has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Slayer wants to clinch up but Overeem keeps it at a distance.
Slayer shoots in for a double leg but Overeem sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Overeem clinches up against the cage.
Slayer misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Overeem.
Slayer stalling in the clinch but Overeem improves position.
Overeem takes an elbow to the temple.
The cut above Alistair Overeem's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A left hand lands to the body for Overeem.
Overeem prevents the takedown attempt.
A head punch on the inside from Overeem fails to land.
Slayer avoiding damage as Overeem throws knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alistair Overeem dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Alistair Overeem's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Slayer takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Overeem scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Slayer fails in his attempt to clinch.
Slayer gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Slayer is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Overeem has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Overeem looking to stall.
Slayer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slayer tries to clinch there but Overeem circles away.

Slayer wants to clinch but Overeem slips to the side
and Overeem counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Overeem clinches up against the cage.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Overeem just misses with a elbow thrown towards Slayer's brow.
Overeem manages to break the clinch.
Overeem lands a left and a right that send Slayer crashing to the mat, dazed. Overeem thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Slayer is rocked!
It looks like Fenriz Slayer has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Overeem connects with a nice cross there... Slayer is looking wobbly and Overeem recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Slayer to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Overeem jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alistair Overeem!
Alistair Overeem decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
